We are seeking a passionate, motivated, and experienced individual to join our team as the Assistant Director. This leadership role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of the school and supporting the Director in providing exceptional care and education.
The Assistant Director will work closely with the School Director to oversee the daily operations, support teaching staff, ensure compliance with state and school policies, and maintain positive relationships with families. This is a dynamic role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced educational environment and is committed to the growth and development of both students and staff.
- Assist the Director in the day-to-day operations of the school, including staff scheduling, classroom oversight, and school-wide initiatives.
- Support the teaching staff by providing guidance on lesson planning, curriculum implementation, and classroom management.
- Ensure compliance with state licensing standards, health and safety regulations, and school policies.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, addressing any questions, concerns, or feedback in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with the Director in managing enrollment, tours, and parent communication to enhance the overall family experience.
- Help foster a culture of teamwork, professional growth, and continuous improvement among the staff.
- Assist with staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and professional development.
- Step in to lead the school in the absence of the Director and address any urgent situations.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in early childhood education, with prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of PA state childcare licensing requirements and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for creating a nurturing and educational environment for children and supporting the professional growth of staff.
- Degree in Early Childhood Education or Business Administration.
- Experience with classroom management and curriculum planning.
- Knowledge of Teaching Strategies, or other child care management software.
